Digi retail -EU funded program in public consultation

On the 21^st of July two actions from the Special Secretariat for Digital Planning of the Greek ministry of finance was posted in public consultation on opengov (in Greek), «Digi-retail» and «Digi-content». The public consultation would be open until 20^th of August and they estimate that the actions would be announced during Novenber or December of 2010.

These EU funded programs have the character of government enhancement of the private businesses and aim to upgrade the Greek business activity through the use of ICT and to accelerate the development of our country.The Ministry taking under consideration that times have changed and influenced by new types of promotion (marketing) that are no longer limited to traditional advertising in traditional media, decided to include in Digi retail in Ε2 (in Greek) action, Digital Signage Technologies.

This EU funded program aims to strength firms in the retail sector and is intended to introduce digital applications that enhance both internal operations and external synergies to aid extroversion of those firms.
