Under the Challenge Europe project of the British Council, a group of young Greek Climate Advocates will travel by train to Istanbul where, in cooperation with Turkish Climate Advocates, they will try to demonstrate that climate change crosses borders and that in order to deal with its consequences people should join forces.

The British Council is organizing a series of actions by the Greek Climate Advocates, “The Climate Change Train: Greece-Turkey 2010″, which will take place between September 17 and 22 in Thessaloniki, Alexandroupolis, Soufli and Istanbul.

One of those actions was held at the Railway Station of Thessaloniki, on the 17th of September. Before their journey, the Climate Advocates talked with children and adults in order to inform them about climate change, the need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the benefits of travel by train.
