A different day in Thessaloniki
Press Releases
“Thessaloniki different for one day” (link in Greek) was the title of a series of urban actions that the local free press magazine “Parallaxi” organized, during the World Car Free Day and European week of mobility on the 22nd of September.
The center of Thessaloniki was closed for cars, except public transportation, and open for bicycles and pedestrians. There were three spots with projections arranged by the “Parallaxi” Magazine as information points with a video about public spaces in Thessaloniki and how the citizens could take back their city from cars and make it livable.
Alphavision supported the projections in all of those three projection spots with its equipment. Alphavision's staff placed the projectors and hi gain screens in the appropriate places in order to attract passers attention and watch the videos.

The information points were placed in spots that projections and other events where taking place.

Bands or theatrical acts where playing next to the projections.

The three projections were working during the whole event, from 18:00 until 22:00, where hundreds of people where passing by and watched them.
Once again Alphavision provided the needed support and technical skills so that the projections would help to the success of the celebration of the day.
