MED-Europe in the Mediterranean Annual event 2010

The Managing Authority of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in the framework of the Greek active presidency for the year 2010 for the transnational programmes "MED 2007-2013" and "SEE 2007-2013" and in collaboration with the Managing authorities of the above mentioned programmes held the MED Annual event 2010 in Thessaloniki, Greece at the hotel Makedonia Palace on 21st until 23rd of September.

On this occasion the Greek Managing Authority, took the initiative to organize a joint event on September 22 to highlight the metropolitan role of Greece's participation in both programmes, and the benefits to the programmes due to the geographic location of Greece which is the bridge connection between them.

The conference big participation brought together representatives of the European Commission and Government Bodies in the region, officials and experts from the Mediterranean countries, representatives of international organizations and academia and project developers of the selective region. Both speakers and topics presented and discussed  kept the audience interest vivid and the whole event was  a great success.

The annual event closed with the Seminar for first level Controllers of MED Program on Friday 24th at the Mediterranean Hotel of Thessaloniki.
